Is the era of the cupcake coming to an end?

According to one of our favourite bakers, Sweet Things, in Primrose Hill, 2010 will be the year of the loaf. Designed to be shared, daintily, between two people, we think the loaf is far chicer than the ubiquitous cupcake. We urge you to try the banana and dulce de leche, delicious.

PS: eagle-eyed readers will notice a packet of Sweet Things' award-winning brownies also pictured here. And that's because our mantra is: "Have your cake – and then eat a brownie."
